Job summary

Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to lead our dealership accounting and financial operations across the Maryland area. This role oversees financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, while driving cost controls and profitability in a franchised setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Automotive Controller experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Automotive Controller experience at a franchised dealership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Strong dealership accounting knowledge; Reynolds & Reynolds experience a plus.
• Detail‑oriented and strong communicator in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage operational accounting: receivables, payables, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Support profitability, cost control, and inventory management.
• Partner with leadership to drive financial performance.
