Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our team. You will be the face of the company, explaining vehicle conditions to clients and ensuring they understand the inspection outcomes.

You will work with a team to inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations, reporting conditions and estimated repair costs. The role requires at least 1 year of automotive experience with strong customer service, the ability to read and communicate in English, and a valid

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks (lift up to 25 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition and repair cost estimates.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface with dealers to develop client satisfaction and build strong relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports and list vehicles for auction.
• Take photos of inspected vehicles and upload to the image server.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform and sign up dealers as buyers.
