Job summary

CareGard Warranty Services, part of Automotive Financial Group (AFG), seeks an automotive professional to adjudicate claims, interpret contract terms, and coordinate payments, leveraging repair knowledge and diagnostic experience. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and collaboration with repair facilities.

Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive repair experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in automotive repair, diagnostics, parts operations, or a related technical automotive field.
• Strong working knowledge of automotive systems, mechanical components, diagnostic procedures, and repair processes.
• Hands on automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to accurately gather and relay technical information.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret ancillary policies to accurately adjudicate claims.
• Review submitted claims to verify compliance with contract terms, conditions, and coverage.
• Apply automotive mechanical knowledge and diagnostic experience to evaluate repair recommendations, diagnostic findings, and supporting documentation.
• Review and adjudicate claims by assessing repair information, mechanical concerns, and contract coverage.
• Process approved claims through the online portal, ensuring accurate documentation of all communications and transactions.
• Communicate directly with repair facilities to discuss diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and coordinate payments for approved claims.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding claims and coverage via phone, email, mail, and fax.
• Collaborate with fellow adjusters and other departments to ensure accurate and timely customer service.
• Maintain accurate records, including data entry, claim analysis, and follow up tracking.

Whether your experience comes from hands on automotive repair, parts operations, or automotive warranty administration, you know how to interpret repair information, evaluate mechanical concerns, and communicate effectively with repair facilities.
