Job summary

F.tech R&D North America, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer in Troy, OH to support the development of vehicle chassis components from concept to production. You will create 2D/3D CAD data and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and launch readiness.

The ideal candidate has a practical engineering mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering milestones on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 0-3 years of related Engineering experience.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and lead meetings and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong project coordination, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established milestones and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of vehicle chassis components, including 2D and 3D CAD data.
• Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering, product design, and manufacturing to solve design problems.
• Develop components from concept through prototype, validation, design freeze, and start of production.
• Organize and lead productive meetings with associates and external partners.
• Act as liaison between customer and internal groups for project coordination.
• Communicate with suppliers on quality requirements.
• Create and maintain project documents (schedules, presentations, technical docs).
• Design parts for manufacturability for mass production.
