Job summary

F.tech R&D North America, Inc. in Troy (MI or OH) is seeking a Design Engineer to drive new product development from design through CAE, prototyping, and testing.

You will design parts in 3D and produce 2D drawings while coordinating with customers and internal teams to meet requirements and cost targets. Required is a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with CATIA experience and 0–3 years in chassis or sheet metal design, plus strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CATIA experience and/or knowledge.
• 0-3 years working experience in chassis design or sheet metal body design.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
• MS Office

Responsibilities

• Design component parts and create 3D math data and 2D drawings.
• Lead communications between the customer and the designers.
• Assist in determining and meeting customer requirements, including assessment of performance, manufacturability and cost.
• Set and achieve project objectives, kick-off, milestones, on-time completion and post-project effectiveness analyses.
