Job summary

F.tech R&D North America, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer in Troy, MI or Troy, OH to drive new product development from design through CAE, prototyping and testing. You will design parts, create 3D data and 2D drawings, and lead customer-designer communications.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 0-3 years experience in chassis or sheet metal design, with CATIA and MS Office skills. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-3 years working experience in chassis design or sheet metal body design.

Responsibilities

• Design (CAD/technical) and communications (project coordination). Lead and drive the execution of new product development from Design through CAE, Prototyping and Testing.
• Design component parts and generate 3D math data and 2D drawings.
• Lead communications between the customer and the designers.
• Assist in determining and meeting customer requirements, and assess product performance, manufacturability and cost management.
• Set and achieve project objectives, kick-off, milestones, on-time completion and post-project analyses.
