Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group seeks an Automotive Certified Service Technician to perform repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards in a high-volume dealership. The role features a tiered pay plan, longevity bonuses, and on-the-job training to advance skills and earnings.

Ideal candidates hold state or ASE certifications, can work evenings/weekends, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Michigan Mechanic Certification required.
• 1 state certification required.
• Brand knowledge (Mazda/Hyundai/Volkswagen) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform work as outlined with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repairs address the customer concern.
• Attend training classes and stay updated on factory bulletins.
