Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Cashier located at Oak Lawn Honda. The cashier handles customer transactions, calculates bills and processes payments to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. The role offers benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance and a 401k, plus paid vacation, training and discounts on products, services and vehicles. Flexible weekends/holidays are required, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Cashier experience, automotive dealership experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer's bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shift
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management
