Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1-2 years hands-on engineering experience in automotive/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with automotive body welding processes, tooling, jigs, fixtures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment design, procurement or installation.
• Experience or familiarity with industrial robotic automation systems.
• Experience with AGVs.
• Proficiency with CATIA or CARROT3 modelling software.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering activities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends/holidays to support installations.
• Domestic travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing process plans and equipment specifications for automotive body manufacturing operations.
• Support design, development, and procurement of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and welding equipment.
• Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, testing, and production trials.
• Assist with robotic automation systems and AGVs.
• Support new product launches and equipment readiness.
• Perform quality analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of processes.
• Manage project schedules, installation timelines, and budgets.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and facilities.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Travel to supplier locations as needed.
