We are seeking a Body Shop Technician. The technician repairs, refinish damaged vehicle body parts, and perform dealer prep work according to factory and dealership specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on the latest repair methods and techniques
• Perform body and fender repairs per estimates
• Complete work efficiently and accurately as outlined on repair orders
• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
• Coordinate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Assess vehicles for additional safety or service work
• Communicate with the Body Shop Manager about additional work
• Use basic math skills for chemical mixing
• Follow factory and dealership procedures for warranty work
• Tag and store warranty parts properly
• Stay informed with technical bulletins, manuals, and training
• Operate equipment safely and maintain an organized workspace
• Light painting, if qualified and approved by management
• Keep customer vehicles clean
• Document all work promptly upon completion
• Comply with relevant regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
• Secure permission and write a repair order before working on personal vehicles

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass background check and drug test
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Own tools required
• Grade 12 with auto body & collision repair certification or 5 years practical experience
• ASE credentials preferred
