Job summary

Capital Auto Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Automotive Body Shop Estimator to assess damage, prepare transparent repair estimates, and clearly communicate with customers and the repair team.

You will collaborate with insurance adjusters, explain repair options, and maintain detailed records to ensure accurate, timely estimates. This role offers competitive pay and benefits within a family-owned automotive group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Body Shop Estimator in the automotive repair industry preferred.
• Familiarity with estimating software.
• Comprehensive understanding of automotive repair processes, parts, and materials.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and standard office applications.
• Ability to explain technical details to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Must pass pre-employment background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles, assessing the extent of damage and necessary repairs
• Explain repair processes and estimate details to customers in a clear and comprehensible manner
• Collaborate with adjusters to discuss estimates and negotiate repair costs
• Work closely with the repair team to convey repair requirements and ensure clarity on the scope of work
• Maintain organized and accurate records of estimates, communication with customers, and insurance-related documentation
• Other duties assigned
