Job summary

VDL Steelweld USA headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan seeks a Project Engineer to realize and oversee technically complex projects. You will oversee workflow, assist management with budget and scheduling for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and safety standards.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree (or equivalent experience), 3–5 years in operations, and strong communication in English. Travel to various sites is expected as projects require.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of operational project experience
• Proficiency with Office, 2D & 3D design software and customer-specific tools
• Strong written and spoken English communication

Responsibilities

• Release technical deliverables such as layouts and sequence sheets
• Approve/reject and release designs and purchases after technical review
• Provide technical guidance to the project team and customer
• Help manage schedule, scope and budget for assigned projects
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery
