Job summary

Guardian West is seeking an Assembly Operator to join our auto-parts production team in Urbana, IL. You will assemble bumpers and components, inspect parts, and move assemblies through stations according to work instructions.

The role requires lifting up to 63.5 pounds, standing on concrete, and rotating positions roughly every 2 hours. Starting pay is $20.75/hr with $21.25/hr after 90 days, plus overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift and move components up to 63.5 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash bumpers and retrieve materials to assembly stations.
• Assemble bumpers by attaching nuts, brackets, lights and components.
• Inspect parts and ensure quality throughout the process.
• Rotate between assembly positions and maintain a clean work area.
• Meet production targets of about 500 bumpers per shift.
