Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a production supervisor in automotive.
• Experience supervising UAW employees.
• Understanding of quality control principles, production processes, and preventative maintenance.
• Familiar with the full cycle assembly process for engine components (cylinder heads & engine blocks).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide a team and communicate with cross-functional departments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive or related field.
• Experience working for an Automotive OEM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the production process meets quality standards.
• Monitor the flow of parts through the production line and identify bottlenecks or constraints.
• Assess how many parts are going into and coming out of the constrained processes, ensuring smooth flow.
• Collaborate with the team to mitigate constraints and improve throughput efficiency.
• Provide end-of-shift reports, summarizing production metrics and concerns.
• Administer or oversee preventative maintenance tasks to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Lead scheduling and execution of preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Lead daily or weekly team meetings to review goals and safety updates.
• Champion safety practices and ensure compliance with company protocols.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to the production team.
