Job summary

Courtesy Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dealership accounting team. This role processes vendor invoices, reconciles statements, and ensures timely, accurate payment of dealership expenses.

Accounts Payable experience is required; automotive dealership experience is preferred. Accounts Payable experience is required; automotive dealership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience in an automotive dealership is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with dealership software (CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Obtain proper approvals for invoice payments.
• Prepare checks, ACH payments, and weekly payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor payment inquiries.
• Maintain accurate AP records and files.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Assist with month-end closing and AP reconciliations.
• Communicate with department managers regarding invoice approvals and issues.
• Follow company accounting policies and internal controls.
• Perform other AP-related duties as assigned.
