Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company operates a Big O Tires franchise and seeks an Alignment Technician to perform mechanical duties, alignments, and regular vehicle servicing in a timely, accurate manner.

The role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to store procedures, and contribution to shop productivity while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Prior lube/ tire experience preferred in a retail auto setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers.
• Ability to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to meet PPE requirements.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake, front end, and alignment maintenance per company programs and procedures.
• Maintain orderly flow of customer service assignments for productivity.
• Ensure Big O’s Extra Care Services are extended to all customers.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles; perform quality control of shop functions.
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Attend weekly store meetings on safety, policies, and product changes.
• Assist in organizing, documenting, and processing adjustments and core credits.
• Work with management to meet service-related quotas and finalize invoicing information.
• Use company outside purchase program to maximize profitability.
• Ensure vehicle inspection program is executed consistently.
• Perform alignments, inspections, and other duties to support service and productivity goals.
• Assist in orientation and training of new personnel.
