Ed Morse is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Process, record, and deposit all payments received by the dealership, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Ensure all funds are reconciled accurately and transactions are recorded correctly.
• Post New and Used Retail Deals and Wholesale Transactions. Calculate Commissions. Process Lien Payoffs.
• Receive new vehicles from manufacturers or auctions, verifying details against purchase orders. Track and maintain accurate inventory records, including new, used, and loaner vehicles. Update inventory systems regularly to reflect new arrivals, sales, and transfers. Track and manage floor plan payments, ensuring timely payments to manufacturers or auction houses. Keep accurate records of floor plan transactions and work with accounting to reconcile payments. Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or understocking, and schedule vehicle deliveries, pick-ups, inspections, and related tasks.
• Process various GL account reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Examine and distribute vendor invoices and other payment requests to appropriate general ledger account classifications.
• Resolve payable issues as they arise in the daily processing of dealership transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.
• Automotive dealership experience is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Excel and Word.
• Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and communicate clearly.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
