Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company is seeking an Automation Controls Technician to assist the controls engineer and maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, contribute to projects, and modify PLC programs and control systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include reading electrical schematics, editing ladder logic, and supporting networked PLC/HMI platforms. Experience with Siemens Step 7 and Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 is preferred; join a fast-growing beverage leader.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in an electrical/software technical field is required.
  • 3 years of experience in ladder logic, networking, and control systems.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Automation Controls Engineer and Maintenance team with troubleshooting and projects.
  • Modify existing PLC programs and control systems.
  • Read and maintain electrical schematics, ladders, and network configurations.
  • Use RS Logix/Studio 5000 and related tools to support system maintenance.

If you require assistance or accommodation to participate in the job application process, please contact Recruiting@drinkmilos.com.**Summary**Assist the Automation Controls Engineer and Maintenance team on troubleshooting, projects, and modifying existing plc programs and control systems.**Ownership*** Supports the development of Milos’s Tea Company automation projects from both a technical perspective and through business intelligence and expertise.* Troubleshoots and can install components of controls systems, such as 4-20ma/0-10V analog inputs and outputs, photo-eyes, switches, and is knowledgeable with motor drives, and servo motors.* Reads, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical schematics.* Edits, downloads, and uploads programs in RS Logix 5000, RS Logix500, and Studio 5000 to maintain systems.* Use Allen Bradley suites, ME Transfer tool, Factory Talk Linx Network Browser, RS Linx Classic, and other platforms.* Has a basic understanding of how networks of systems operate and is able to troubleshoot systems from a networking perspective.* Diagnose problems with ladder logic and support maintenance when necessary.* Follow safety policy and procedures including, but not limited to, lock out-tag-out, hot work permit, and confined space.* Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming, including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.* This position has responsibilities essential to Food Safety.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Competencies*** Process Driven* Teamwork* Critically Evaluates**Qualifications*** Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related electrical/software technical field is required, and 3 years of experience in ladder logic, networking, and controls systems. Experience in PLC, HMI, and Microsoft Office Suite. Expert knowledge in electrical schematics, piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), tags, and symbols. Experience with Siemens Step 7, Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000, and Ladder Logic is preferred.* Some experience in design aspects of P&IDs, instrument ISA data sheets, instrument installation details, low voltage wiring, physical conduit routing and cable tray design, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams and schematics, including motor control.* Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.**Physical Demands*** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
