Job summary

The LEGO Group in Richmond, VA seeks a Maintenance Team Coordinator to lead automated warehouse maintenance, driving preventive, corrective and predictive activities to maximize equipment reliability and safety.

You will coordinate repairs, manage spare parts, train technicians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and improve processes. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams or supervising others.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance in an automated warehouse or similar environment.
  • Ability to work at heights from 8 to 40 meters, including height rescue procedures if necessary.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (must be obtained upon hire or within timeframe).
  • Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of industrial equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic).
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems with basic tasks (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred).
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and maintenance-related software tools.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety certifications.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure warehouse equipment is maintained for safe, efficient operations and product quality.
  • Execute and support corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Adjust and optimize equipment settings and parameters.
  • Identify, replace, and manage spare parts based on wear and performance.
  • Support installation and configuration of new equipment within the facility.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot critical equipment issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to improve reliability and processes.
  • Support technician development and keep skills matrix updated.
  • Coordinate planned downtime with warehouse teams and respond to equipment failures.
