Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking a High Bay Automation Maintenance Technician in Richmond, VA to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment. You will troubleshoot PLC, robotics, electrical, and mechanical systems, diagnose issues via PLC software, HMIs, and schematics, and document actions in CMMS.

Travel internationally up to 3 weeks yearly for training or support. The role requires an associate degree or technical certification, 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience maintaining automated industrial equipment in manufacturing or logistics.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment docs.
• Willing to travel internationally up to 3 weeks annually.
• Safety certifications (LOTO, CPR, First Aid) required.
• Capable of 12-hour day/night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, and automation systems.
• Diagnose issues using PLC software, HMIs, networks, schematics, and docs.
• Optimize settings to improve reliability, performance and reduce downtime.
• Document maintenance actions in the CMMS.
• Support installation, commissioning, testing, and startup activities.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, suppliers and OEMs for improvements.
• Train and mentor maintenance team; support TPM, Lean, Six Sigma.
• Maintain LEGO safety standards, including LOTO, and complete safety training.
