Job summary

HP IQ seeks a Software Engineer, Tooling and Development Infrastructure to shape productivity tools and automated testing for our AI software stack. You’ll collaborate with design, development, and quality teams to plan, design, and implement automated tools ensuring quality and reliability.

Hands-on role with teammates across the organization. You’ll influence automation frameworks, foster a culture of quality, and contribute to HP IQ’s long-term success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 1+ years in automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows.
• Strong proficiency in developing tools for test automation.
• Deep understanding of observability/telemetry.
• Good understanding of SDLC.
• Proficiency in Python or similar OO language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation frameworks and testing strategies across the software stack.
• Identify, evaluate and integrate new tooling for development and IaC.
• Lead improvements for build, release and test systems for robust CI/CD.
• Explore AI tools to create deterministic and non-deterministic testing approaches.
• Design reusable automated tests and tools for team adoption.
• Partner with System Software, Automation, and Test teams to align testing strategies.
• Use logs and backend knowledge to diagnose complex testing issues.
