HP IQ, the HP AI innovation lab in San Francisco, seeks a Product Design Engineer to bridge creativity, engineering, and design. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design Engineering, or related field.
• Experience using 3D CAD software (NX preferred) to design mechanical components and assemblies.
• Hands-on experience building, prototyping, and testing mechanical designs.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, components, and assemblies for new consumer devices using 3D CAD (NX).
• Create detailed 2D drawings, define specs and tolerances, and coordinate with overseas vendors for accuracy.
• Design and run experiments, apply engineering analysis and test results to guide design decisions.
• Evaluate materials and processes to develop robust, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, industrial design, and other teams.
