Job Description:

Automation Tester (Web Testing | Agile | Testing Life Cycle)

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Automation Tester with a strong foundation in software testing principles, a clear understanding of the testing life cycle (STLC), and experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (tools like Selenium WebDriver)
• Execute functional, UI, integration, and regression tests for web applications.
• Engage fully in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) from requirements analysis to test closure.
• Experience in documenting test artifacts in Confluence and Jira
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) within Scrum/Kanban teams.
• Manage and track testing activities, user stories, and defects using Jira.
• Validate backend data by writing and executing SQL queries against Snowflake or similar databases.
• Perform basic performance testing and contribute to test optimization.
• Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript).
• Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Pytest (good to have).
• Continuously explore and adapt to new automation frameworks and testing tools.
• Exposure or willingness to learn AWS, CI/CD pipelines, performance testing tools, and cloud testing best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, focus on quality assurance, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with at least 5 years
• Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with at least 3 years
  
  

Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn):

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Working knowledge of Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Basic exposure to Docker and containerized testing.
