Job summary

Moog Inc in Buffalo, NY is seeking a hands-on Test Equipment Controls Engineer to own production and development test systems, driving modernization of testing capabilities through automation and data acquisition. You will design, build, and maintain test stands, control panels, and instrumentation to support manufacturing and new product development.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering discipline and 5+ years in industrial test equipment or automation, including PLC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience supporting, designing, developing, or maintaining industrial test equipment or automation systems.
• Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLC-based control systems.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation, sensors, signal conditioning, measurement systems, and DAQ hardware.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical, hydraulic, servo-controlled, or automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, performance, configuration management, and continuous improvement of production test stands used to validate electromechanical, hydraulic, and motion control products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, instrumentation, controls, and software issues to minimize downtime.
• Design, build, modify, and upgrade production and engineering test equipment, including test stands and data acquisition hardware.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, automated machine logic, and integrated test equipment controls.
• Create and maintain operator-facing HMI/GUI applications to improve usability and data visibility.
