Moog Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Test Systems Engineering Team in Buffalo, NY.

You will develop and deploy automated test solutions for flight control actuation systems, blending software with hardware integration across multiple disciplines. The role requires hands-on problem solving, collaboration with electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineers, and involvement in design reviews, verification testing, and customer demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience programming in LabVIEW, Python, C/C++ and/or Simulink.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for automated aerospace test systems using tools such as LabVIEW, Python, C, and Simulink.
• Design, integrate, troubleshoot, and validate test equipment used to verify flight control actuation systems.
• Work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineers to solve technical challenges and optimize test system performance.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Support the build and integration of test equipment, working alongside technicians and assembly teams.
• Serve as a technical liaison between engineering and production to resolve issues and ensure successful system implementation.
• Develop and execute formal verification testing, analyze results, and drive resolution of issues through completion.
• Support customer demonstrations, validation efforts, and test correlation activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
• Manage software configuration and version control throughout development and deployment.
• Deliver customer-ready test systems that meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements.
