Job summary

Banner Engineering seeks a Test Engineer to support automated test systems across global manufacturing. You will design, enhance, and maintain test programs, working with electronics and mechanical teams to improve testability and manufacturability.

You will troubleshoot test stations, define test requirements, and analyze data to drive root-cause investigations. The role emphasizes collaboration with optical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers, ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 2+ years of electrical test, process, or systems engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, or Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain automated test programs using Python, C#, C++, TestStand, LabVIEW, or similar.
• Upgrade and overhaul existing test systems to improve quality, process control, and operator usability.
• Analyze operator interactions to reduce manual steps and optimize test flow.
• Define test requirements, plans, and procedures based on existing test equipment or product specifications.
• Analyze test data to support root-cause investigations, improve yield, and drive corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing by troubleshooting test stations, resolving equipment issues, and optimizing throughput.
• Create detailed electrical schematics and drawings with a test technician.
• Integrate instruments such as DMMs, power supplies, optical power meters, and interfaces.
• Integrate automation equipment such as actuators and vision systems.
• Perform design reviews and collaborate to improve testability and manufacturability.
• Ensure test systems comply with safety standards and quality processes.
• Document test system designs, results, and calibration requirements.
• Evaluate electrical designs to meet intended requirements.
• Collaborate with optical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to provide competitive products
