Job summary
Wurth Industry US in Roanoke, VA is hiring an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated systems and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation aligned with production goals.
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives and robotics; assist in programming and debugging control systems; support installation and commissioning of new automation, and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics.
- 2+ years in industrial automation, maintenance, or controls.
- Experience with CMMS software preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, sensor, drive, and robotics issues.
- Assist programming, debugging, and integration of control systems.
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new systems.
- Maintain safety, compliance, and documentation.
