Job summary

NOVARES is seeking an Automation Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve robots, PLCs, and vision systems to maximize uptime.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, programming and debugging PLC/robot programs, and assisting with new equipment launches. Collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams is essential for process improvements and safe operation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Automation
Mechatronics or Electrical Technology background
3+ years in troubleshooting industrial automation equipment
Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley or similar)
Experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Whittman or similar)
Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings
Experience with sensors, servo systems, and HMIs
Vision inspection systems

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment including robots, PLCs, sensors, and vision systems
Respond quickly to equipment issues to restore production
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated systems
Assist with programming, debugging, and modifying PLC and robot programs
Support equipment launches, installations, and automation improvements
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to implement process improvements
Document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
