Job summary

Adient plc is seeking an Dedicated Automation Technician to ensure reliability and performance of automated manufacturing systems. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid downtime response, and documenting maintenance actions to improve equipment longevity.

The technician supports continuous improvement by communicating issues to Automation Engineering and coaching operators in basic troubleshooting and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance supporting automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robots, PLCs, conveyors, vision systems, and related components.
• Respond to downtime, diagnose faults, and restore equipment with minimal production impact.
• Record maintenance actions, parts, downtime, and failures in the CMMS.
• Escalate complex issues to Automation Engineering with clear evidence.
• Train operators on basic automation troubleshooting and escalation procedures.
