Job summary

CVS Health in Honolulu is seeking an Automation Technician to keep advanced automated systems running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve PLCs, robotics, sensors, and control networks to support production and reliability.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience supporting automated or industrial equipment.
Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing and material handling equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation, electrical, and control systems.
Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMI panels, and VFDs.
Support robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar), including setup and recovery.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications.
Maintain safety standards when working with high‑voltage and automated systems.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve reliability, throughput, and uptime.
Document repairs, system changes, and preventive maintenance activities in the CMMS.
