Job summary

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation, electrical, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMI panels, and VFDs.
• Support robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar), including setup and recovery.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications.
• Maintain safety standards when working with high‑voltage and automated systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve reliability, throughput, and uptime.
• Document repairs, system changes, and preventive maintenance activities in the CMMS.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll support, maintain, and improve automated systems across the facility, including PLCs, robotics, sensors, vision systems, and industrial networks.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting automated or industrial equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical and control systems
• Experience troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, industrial or distribution environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Industrial Technology
• Experience with robotics, servo systems, and vision systems
• Knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, etc.)
• Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs
• Manufacturing or high‑speed distribution environment experience

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, and work on equipment for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
• Work safely around moving machinery, electrical systems, and elevated platforms
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on‑call as needed

Pay Range

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
