Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Automation Technician to keep advanced automated systems running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced facility. You will troubleshoot, improve processes, and work with cutting-edge automation and controls technology alongside maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting automated or industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical and control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial or distribution environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation, electrical, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMI panels, and VFDs.
• Support robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar), including setup and recovery.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications.
• Maintain safety standards when working with high-voltage and automated systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve reliability, throughput, and uptime.
• Document repairs, system changes, and preventive maintenance activities in the CMMS.
