Chipton-Ross, Inc. seeks an Automation Technician in Rochester, NY to maintain and repair automated manufacturing systems. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, and validation of equipment in alignment with manufacturer instructions and company procedures.

You will troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, work with drives and servo motors, and ensure safety rules (OSHA) are followed. This is a full-time contract position requiring shift work and hands-on kaizen improvements.

Competenze

• Technical background in mechatronics or related field is required.
• Experience interpreting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.

• Maintain automated machinery and equipment in optimal condition per manufacturer instructions and company procedures.
• Perform corrective maintenance and execute preventive and predictive tasks.
• Adjust and calibrate automated equipment and validate equipment where required.
• Complete forms related to maintenance work and uphold 5S in the work area.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and participate in environmental and safety programs.
• Disassemble and repair mechanical devices; reassemble with new parts as needed.
• Set up and operate machining equipment to fabricate or repair parts.
• Report deviations from standard performance and notify supervision when external help is needed.
• Safeguard tools; practice kaizen and PPI for continuous improvement.
