Job summary

TRC Talent is seeking an Automation Technician in Acworth, GA to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated production equipment and robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ABB Robots and Allen-Bradley PLCs in automotive manufacturing.

You will perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and support continuous improvement with Manufacturing Engineers, while maintaining a strong safety culture on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with automated equipment in an industrial environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Automotive manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with ABB Robotics required.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment and robotic systems.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on assembly and manufacturing systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and modify PLC logic to support automated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on 110V and 480V systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Support manufacturing operations by identifying and resolving equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineers on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to support production goals.
• Troubleshoot high-volume production equipment and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe work environment while following company and industry standards.
