Job summary

Closure Systems International, Inc. seeks anAutomation Technician to join our Erie facility, supporting plant equipment through PLC and drive troubleshooting and improvements. You will collaborate with Electrical Controls Engineers and assist in updating electrical schematics and documentation to reflect changes.

The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and hands-on programming for motion control, HMIs, and robotic systems, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Entry-level experience debugging electro-mechanical systems and controls.
• Configuring HMIs for discrete manufacturing equipment.
• Programming and commissioning motion control systems including multi-axis robots and servos.
• Programming PLC-based controls for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an automation resource for continuous improvement and capital projects.
• Provide PLC and drive support for plant equipment and perform troubleshooting.
• Support electrical design using AutoCAD and update schematics/drawings as needed.
• Read mechanical drawings for electrical requirements and assist engineers.
• Foster a safety-first culture and participate in incident investigations.
