Job summary

ONEOK is seeking an Automation Technician/PLC Programmer in Midland or Odessa, TX. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing BPCS/SIS/DCS/PLC systems, with hands-on programming experience and support for control projects across plants and pipelines.

You will work with asset stakeholders, engineers, and operators to optimize performance while ensuring safety and reliability in a Fortune 500 environment.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in process & instrumentation controls or equivalent.
• 3-5 years industrial programming or strong electrical/instrumentation skills.
• Experience with BPCS/SIS/DCS/PLC/HMI systems and related vendor trainings.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of BPCS/SIS/DCS/PLC platforms (Allen Bradley, Modicon, DeltaV, ClearSCADA).
• Program maintenance, archiving, and latest program control for DCS/PLC systems.
• Develop and review controls narratives to meet operations, safety and compliance.
• Liaise with project teams and third-party vendors for system enhancements.
