Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Automation Technician to support three manufacturing locations in Tipton, Duncansville, and Altoona. You will participate in advanced manufacturing projects to drive further automation of production processes.

The role requires PLC programming experience, reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and building electrical control cabinets. Proficiency with VFDs, HMIs, and Robotic/Servo systems is a plus. On-site travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or related engineering field.
2 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Desirable machine safety certifications for industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Participate in advanced manufacturing projects to drive automation of production processes.
Work with a diverse mix of manufacturing and production related machine control and networking applications.
Troubleshoot existing manufacturing equipment across three locations to support current production lines.
Lead automation projects from concept and design through installation and qualification within budget.
Support and assist other manufacturing engineering projects from a controls perspective.
Adhere to Safety, Environment, and Quality Standards.
