Job summary

Accelera in Minnesota is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. You will tackle faults in PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, and motion systems, with a focus on preventing downtime and supporting new system deployments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial automation, a background with HMI/PLC (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley), and familiarity with Epson robots.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with industrial manufacturing equipment, controls, or automation.
• Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with HMI and PLC systems (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
• Experience servicing, programming, and diagnosing Epson robotic systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical blueprints.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics or related field preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/medical device regulated sectors a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex automated manufacturing machinery and control systems.
• Identify and resolve faults within PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, motion control, and pneumatic/electrical systems.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Assist in deployment, commissioning, qualification, and validation of updated or new automated systems.
• Adjust automation system parameters, configurations, and programming as authorized.
• Analyze technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to support maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to boost reliability and performance of production equipment.
• Contribute to operator training, continuous improvement initiatives, and root-cause analysis efforts.
