Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to install, optimize, and support automated manufacturing systems across injection molding and ferrule posting areas.

You will troubleshoot mechanically and electrically to keep automation running, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with engineering and operations to deliver reliable production. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or related field and 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 2–4 years hands-on manufacturing experience (injection molding, die casting, machining, assembly).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining automated equipment, jigs, fixturing.
• Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs; assist with program loading, testing, diagnostics.
• Ability to read 2D/3D CAD drawings and schematics.
• Proactive problem-solver with solid communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic PC skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; good dexterity.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with fluids, adhesives, and particulates.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of automation in injection molding areas.
• Support ferrule posting automation installation and optimization.
• Monitor automated processes; inspect output and adjust for quality and consistency.
• Provide first-line technical support; escalate complex repairs as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on automation equipment.
• Read and update technical documentation, schematics, and process flows for manual and automated tasks.
• Assist with PLC/HMI testing and diagnostics with controls engineers.
• Use 2D/3D CAD drawings to identify components during installation and troubleshooting.
• Assist and occasionally lead training for operators and technicians on new automation systems.
• Collaborate across business units on automation projects from concept to implementation.
