Job summary

Nypro Inc., a Jabil company, is seeking an Automation Technician II – Days – A Shift for our onsite facility in Asheville, NC. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency on the assigned shift.

Responsibilities include PM and corrective maintenance on robots, PLCs, vision systems, and related components; read schematics and ladder logic; assist installation and commissioning; collaborate with engineering and production

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation or related field.
3–5 years of automation technician experience in manufacturing, preferably plastics injection molding or high-volume assembly.
Strong ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and PLC ladder logic.

Responsibilities

Perform PM and corrective maintenance on robots, PLCs, vision systems and related components.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues on automated lines.
Read schematics and PLC diagrams to support troubleshooting and repairs.
Assist in installation, setup and commissioning of new automation equipment.
Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
