Job summary
Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC, is seeking an Automation Support Technician to assist in operation, maintenance and management of process control systems across the site. The role focuses on uptime, availability, and adherence to CGMPs in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting during downtime, hardware inspection and repair, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve control systems.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Computers, Engineering or a relevant field required.
- High School Diploma (GED) with two years of relevant understanding of instrumentation & control systems required.
- Knowledgeable in supporting & maintaining process control systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support troubleshooting during process downtime.
- Inspect, troubleshoot & repair control system hardware.
- Perform routine, preventative & predictive maintenance.
- Assist in the development of maintenance procedures.
- Support control system equipment installations.
- Assist in managing control system hardware inventory.
- Support plans to maintain & improve process control systems.
- Follow CGMPs and safety/environment requirements.
