Job summary

Motion Controls Robotics, Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician/Electrician to build and wire custom industrial automation equipment at the facility and at customer sites across North America. On‑the‑job training and tuition support are provided, with FANUC America training available.

The role involves interpreting drawings, installing conveyors and robotics, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams. Travel is required 35%–50%, with paid travel costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years mechanical assembly and electrical experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel 35–50% of the time; travel costs paid by the company.
• Own a set of tools and ability to use various power tools.
• Regularly lift 30–50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to bend, stretch, reach, kneel, climb, push/pull, and work in warm temps.
• Good manual dexterity for fast and accurate assembly.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Install conveyors, framework, robots, tooling, and guarding.
• Build wire back panels for electrical cabinets.
• Install and wire motors, junction boxes, sensors, lights, and curtains.
• Design mounting brackets for junctions, wireways, switches, sensors, and valve manifolds.
• Support engineering, manufacturing, and programming teams in testing and debugging.
