Job summary

Aagard is seeking an Automation Technician to join our on-site team in Minnesota. You will assemble mechanical and electrical components, verify builds against prints, and test machines while logging issues and following corrective actions.

The role requires strong reading of blueprints and CAD outputs, physical stamina, and a willingness to travel up to 30% for installations and training. The position offers a competitive pay range ($22.00–$26.00 per hour) with full-time hours on day or night

Qualifications

  • Reading and using measuring instruments and small hand tools.
  • Reading CAD drawings and operating CAD software.
  • Basic shop math skills and blueprint reading knowledge.
  • Ability to read hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics terminology.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00.

30% Travel Role: Double Pay for all Travel Time!

  • Verify build quality by checking parts and assemblies against prints and standards.
  • Conduct machine testing and troubleshooting.

  • Lead Projects and Provide the Aagard Experience
  • Build trust and maintain positive relationships within Aagard and with customers.
  • Lead projects as the primary internal contact, ensuring schedules are met and proactively communicating any part delays or build challenges.
  • Travel for machine installation, startup and customer training.
  • Support knowledge sharing and training of fellow team members.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum High School diploma, Associate’s degree in related field plus assembly experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read and properly use measuring instruments and small hand tools
  • Basic shop math skills as rounding, positive/negative numbers, metric system
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading: hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and use of correct terminology
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and operate CAD software
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs , stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb
  • Confidence and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
  • Strong prioritization, time management, organization, proactive decision-making, and attention to detail
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time, which may include any day of the week.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid passport. (cost reimbursed by Aagard)
