Caterpillar is seeking an Automation Technician for our Champaign facility. The role involves maintaining and optimizing automated systems, robotics, and control equipment to keep production running smoothly.

You will work 40 hours weekly with overtime as required, on the 3rd shift from 10:30pm to 6:30am, with a $2 premium per hour for the shift. Relevant experience and OSHA knowledge are essential.

Formación

• 3–5 years of facilities maintenance experience in logistics or industrial settings.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Experience with building automation and control systems.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow them.
• Effective communication and ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repair on robotic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Install, calibrate, and repair complex equipment and conveyors.
• Lead preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime.
• Inspect systems and ensure safety regulations compliance.
• Mentor maintenance team members and guide projects.
• Manage inventory and document tasks in E-Maintenance.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors on maintenance tasks.
