Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician - Automation & Robotics to join our manufacturing team in Urbana, IL. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated production equipment to maximize reliability, uptime, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics, and familiarity with

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate in English.
Experience with industrial automation and PLC-controlled equipment.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and fix electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures to minimize downtime.
Repair and maintain PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
Perform maintenance on motors, VFDs, panels, relays, and other components.
Read schematics and diagrams to resolve issues.
Operate HMIs for diagnostics and alarms.
Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
