Job summary

ITW Medical in North Carolina is hiring for a 12-hour rotating day shift manufacturing technician to support automation presses, assembly machines and mold equipment. You will set up, debug, run samples, perform preventive maintenance, and log equipment data as part of a team improving efficiency.

Responsibilities include checking parameters during changeovers, assisting with training of new operators, coordinating with other shifts, and supporting rotating weekend overtime while maintaining

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric systems; sonic welding and injection molding preferred.
• Willingness to attend formal PLC training; employee will be paid for time.
• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, plus strong math and reasoning abilities.
• Able to read electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of OSHA electrical safety, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout.
• Basic computer skills (email, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

• Setup of automation presses or assembly machines.
• Set up and debug new automation; make samples for new items/customers.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various assembly, automation, and mold equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document work.
• Cross train with molding technicians for mold machine maintenance.
• Check and adjust parameters during changeovers and document changes.
• Clean automation equipment and areas.
• Replace worn equipment.
• Identify ways to improve efficiency and maintain quality as part of a team.
• Assist QA with corrective actions from customer rejections.
• Write order requests for replenishment of inventory.
• Maintain daily logs and document equipment specifications.
• Communicate with other shifts, operators, and technicians about equipment status.
• Assist with training new operators.
• Assist mold techs with runners, mold setups, and new cell production lines.
• Support production with on-call status, including rotating overtime on weekends.
