Role: Automation Technician

Position Description:
- Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation equipment.
- Apply expertise for installation, calibration, maintenance, and repairs of instruments, communication, and electrical equipment.
- Execute planned maintenance checks and calibration, and submit reports accordingly.
- PLC installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
- Build and respond to SAP notifications and process work orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
- Minimize downtime and unsafe conditions through preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Maintain technical and administrative records, including prints and project reports.
- Initiate Management of Change requests for equipment, instrumentation, and programs.
- Assist supervisors with technology and budget adjustments.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant automation experience.
- Experience with SCADA platforms.
- Knowledge of ABB Total Flow, ROC 107, Plunger Lift Applications, Red-Line DA-50 & DA-70, Automatic Choke Control, and PLC - Microsoft 850, 820 & Compact Logic.
- Instrumentation controls and electrical experience.
- At least 1 year of PLC programming experience.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair Allen Bradley PLCs, ABB TotalFlow, Fisher ROC, transmitters, etc.
- Electrical circuit troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of communication equipment such as Freewave, XetaWave, RedLion, ABB, GE MDS.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Willingness to learn and follow directions from experienced personnel.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas production equipment and operations.
- Ability to obtain certification for working at heights with fall protection.
- Ability to pass a Fit Test and work in H2S environments wearing SCBA.
- Capability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

- Schedule: Day shift, Night shift, Holidays, Monday to Friday, Rotating weekends
