RigUp, Inc. seeks an entry-level technician to support automation systems, instrumentation, and control equipment in an industrial setting.

The role emphasizes safe operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance with 0–3 years of related experience. You will work on a variety of tasks including PLC and RTU programming, HMI configuration, and instrumentation testing while developing knowledge of process control and software platforms.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in automation or instrumentation.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and computer skills.
• Licensed Journeyman recommended (electrical & I&E positions).
• Ability to work safely with a safety-first approach.
• Strong learning ability and communication skills; teamwork and time management.
• Ability to handle basic discipline tasks.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled ESD / LEL / H2S testing and calibration.
• Read and understand P&IDs, instrumentation loop drawings, and C&E documentation.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eaton, etc.).
• Program and troubleshoot RTUs (ROC, FB107, Total Flow, etc.).
• Program and troubleshoot HMIs (Red Lion, Maple, Beier, etc.).
• Configure and troubleshoot Modbus communications.
• Troubleshoot wiring with multimeters.
• Work with edge computers and software (Ignition, On-Logic, Moxa, etc.).
• Configure and troubleshoot serial to Ethernet converters (Moxa, Phoenix, Red Lion, etc.).
• Troubleshoot various instrumentation including pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature transmitters, level transmitters, and level switches
• Tune PID loops and understand process control systems
• Navigate and learn software/application platforms
