Job summary

ACE Partners in Logan, UT is seeking an Automation Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated production equipment, including robotics, conveyors, and vision systems. This on-site position focuses on PLC programming, diagnostics, and continuous improvement with engineering teams.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing automation, experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, and a background in robotics/vision systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation/controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting skills (Allen-Bradley preferred; Siemens a plus).
• Experience with robotics, vision systems, and/or motion control.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Food Processing/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated production equipment, including robotics, conveyors, and vision systems.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
• Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical faults on automated lines.
• Support new equipment installs, integration, and validation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and controls documentation.
• Partner with engineering to drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and validation records.

What You'll Do:
