Job summary

Aventure Staffing in Hawarden, IA, is seeking an Automation Technician to design, build, troubleshoot and document control systems for automated machines. You will modify electronic components, develop wiring diagrams and engineering specs, calibrate circuitry, and document test results.

You will work closely with engineers and other departments, maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics.
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Able to speak/read/write English.
• Independent, self-motivated, and takes initiative.
• PC literate; Word/Excel; AutoCAD a plus.
• Able to interpret test data.
• Basic math skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Modify and repair developmental electronic components and parts.
• Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for equipment modifications.
• Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components.
• Follow instructions using test equipment and document the process.
• Oversee receipt of recyclable materials such as commingled electronics.
• Collaborate with engineers and internal/external customers.
• Work closely with Engineers and other duties as assigned.

Automation Technician

$ DOE- Depending on Experience Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Are you a detail-oriented and reliable employee that is able to multi-task in a busy environment. If so, this job is for you! A well-established company in the Hawarden area is seeking an Automation Technician to join their team. Their duties are to design, build, trouble shoot and document control systems for automated machines.

Responsibilities

• Modifying and repairing developmental electronic components and parts
• Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for equipment modifications
• Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components
• Follow written & verbal instructions, using test equipment, fabricating & documenting the process
• Oversee the receiving of recyclable materials; including commingled household material, electronics and cardboard
• Work effectively in a team environment, foster positive relationships across departments with internal/external customers
• Will work closely with Engineers and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics
• Attention to detail a must & strong work ethic
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic English
• Must be able to work independently, self-motivated and take initiative
• Must be PC literate, Word, Excel, Auto Cad would be a plus
• Must be able to interpret test data
